“Fast-response Electrically Heated Catalytic Reactor
Technology for CO2 Reduction”
The e-CODUCT project aims to electrify the simultaneous chemical conversion of acid gas components (CO2 and H2S) into CO molecules and marketable sulfur using Electro-Thermal Fluidized Bed (ETFB) reactor technology. The process involves two main steps: the first step reduces CO2 and H2S to COS, and the second step decomposes COS into CO and sulfur.
To demonstrate the potential for value creation, the CO produced will be further converted into green methanol as the final product through a third reaction. The e-CODUCT consortium consists of nine entities, including both industrial and academic partners, covering the entire value chain from material suppliers and engineers to modeling experts and technology providers.
